Day 3 | Srinagar to Kargil – Crossing the Great Himalayan Divide:

Distance: Approx. 205 km | Driving Time: 6–7 Hours

Leave Kashmir behind as the landscape gradually transforms from verdant valleys to the dramatic high-altitude deserts of Ladakh.

Travel through Sonmarg before ascending the legendary Zoji La Pass, one of the most spectacular mountain crossings in the Himalayas. Continue through Drass and visit the Kargil War Memorial before arriving in Kargil.

The evening is reserved for rest and reflection amidst the dramatic landscapes of Ladakh's western frontier.

Day 4 | Kargil to Leh – Following the Ancient Silk Route

Distance: Approx. 220 km | Driving Time: 5–6 Hours

Today's journey follows one of the most culturally significant routes in the Himalayas.

Visit the ancient Maitreya Buddha of Mulbekh, the lunar landscapes of Lamayuru, and one of Ladakh's oldest monastic settlements. Pause at traditional villages and ancient caravan routes before reaching the dramatic confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers.
